Community Communication

On June 9, 2021, in the city of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Ryan Le-Nguyen, callously, made 2 attempts to end the life of a six-year-old Black child by the name of Coby Daniel.  Ryan Le-Nguyen attempted to hit the child with a sledgehammer and ultimately ended up shooting Coby Daniel through the arm because Coby left his bike in his front yard.

The Zeta Beta Charitable Foundation wholeheartedly and vehemently condemn these anti-Black attacks on the child Coby Daniel.  Though Coby was not critically injured, the fact that he was wantonly attacked and marked for death by Ryan Le-Nguyen, is abhorrent on every level of humanity.

As an organization that has been created to assist in the overall development and progression of the Black community, in general, and Black males, in particular, the Zeta Beta CharitableFoundation recognizes and understands that an attack on our community, and more specifically, our children, is an unacceptable and intolerable offense.

We stand ready to assist the family of Coby Daniel in all ways possible to ensure that Coby Daniel receives justice and that this type of assault upon the future of our community (our children) is never repeated and that those that would do harm to our community are fully aware that our warrior class will do everything possible to maintain the safety of it.

“Concerning nonviolence, it is criminal to teach a man not to defend himself when he is the constant victim of brutal attacks.”
